Tzipor Ulman, PhD

Under Tzipor’s leadership, SiE grew from an idea to a multi-faceted organization. Since its founding in 2008, SiE worked with more than 11,000 students through its in-class program, trained 1000 STEM professionals to serve as mentors to low-income youth, and provided professional development in science and engineering to over 350 elementary school teachers.

Tzipor’s prior work includes consulting on business strategy to Fortune 500 and startup clients, working with a seed VC, non-profit management, science tutoring, and mentoring students in urban and suburban areas. She is active in the community, serving on several nonprofit boards, and is the recipient of the Jefferson Award for Public Service.

Tzipor is the proud mother of 2 boys in whom she has instilled a curiosity about the world and the way things work. She holds a PhD in physical chemistry from Stanford University and a BSc in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University.
