Hands-on Science
Discover first-hand how the world works.

NGSS physical science and engineering.
Live group discussions
Plus video lessons and hands-on experiments.
Our instructor will engage with students asynchronously (Mon & Tue) as they ask questions, do some initial experiments, and collect data.
On Wednesday, get ready for a live online meeting! Participate in a robust scientific discussion with peers and your instructor about what you discovered, and do even more hands-on experiments.
On Thursday and Friday, continue the learning on your own and with your peers via our Google Classroom.
Our educators, all with advanced degrees in science, are excited to meet your kids!
What you need
A tablet or computer with an internet connection. Materials are all readily available, most are likely already in your home!

Airplanes, simple machines, and more! Weekly lessons include: Can air exert force?, Paper Airplanes, Magnetic Forces, Simple Machines: Inclined Plane, Simple Machines: Levers, Engineering Challenge.

Powerful Science
Energy and waves, including light and sound. Weekly lessons include: Energy, Speed and Collisions, The Potential for Movement, Waves: Periodic Ups and Downs, Sound, Light, Heat Transfer.

5th grade
It's Not Just a Phase
Properties of matter and chemical reactions. Weekly lessons include: Is Air Matter?, Will it Dissolve?, Chemical Reactions, Fun with your ABD's, Temperature and the Water Cycle, Mixing It Up.
