Anisha Patel

Director in the Analytical Research and Development @ Merck

Anisha is a Director in the Analytical Research and Development department of Merck.

She provides strategic and technical leadership for physicochemical characterization of pharmaceutical materials. Prior to joining Merck, Anisha had over fifteen years of experience at Bristol Myers Squibb in their Materials Science department. She holds a Bachelors of Engineering in Medical Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Sheffield, U.K.

Anisha is always on a quest to build the best teams and to advocate for the minority voice in the room. For this reason, Anisha is passionate about the importance of diversity in STEM.

In her spare time, she mentors multiple students from underrepresented groups. She is also the liaison for the American Chemical Society Women Chemist Committee Merck research award, empowering women to remain in STEM.
