Science is for Everyone: Force

Students in kindergarten have been studying physical sciences in great detail, and this month they were asked to use what they had learned to start a chain reaction.

Students started experimenting to find the most effective way to put the ball into the cup as ping-pong balls bounced around the room.

Using every resource at their disposal, including gravity, magnetism, and air resistance, the students found unique ways to get their ball in the cup. The students cheered in unison when their designs were perfected as their ping pong balls finally made it into the cups! Take a look:

It takes dedication, perseverance, and teamwork to make such an unusual chain reaction—and as the kindergarteners proudly gazed at their hard work, they knew that force truly is powerful!

Want to help children enjoy and relish a day of discovery like this one? Find out how.
