Science is Elementary welcomes new program associate

Science is Elementary has expanded its team by adding Meri Klingelhofer as a program associate.

Meri, a recent UC Santa Cruz graduate, helps with the programmatic efforts in our Learning Lab and Science is for Me! series (formerly SiE Books), including volunteer coordination, in-school support, and logistics. Previously, she was a program assistant at CalFresh, where she helped SCDC students apply for benefits, with a focus on event coordination, resource distribution, and inventory management. Meri was also a volunteer teacher with Peninsula Bridge for four years. She has a BS in neuroscience and a BA in philosophy.

Three things you may not know about Meri:

  1. She’s an avid swimmer and plays water polo.

  2. She crochets small stuffed animals.

  3. She has never seen snow.
